The Hospice of Lansing

The Hospice of Lansing

Since 1979, The Hospice of Lansing is the community's non-profit, independent, community-based,  end-of-life care provider...and Lansing's original hospice.

As the closing time of our lives approaches, we often lose many of our choices.  However, the ultimate choice of where to spend our final days is ours alone.

Whether in your own home, adult foster care or nursing home, hospice care is generally covered by Medicare or Medicaid or other insurances.

Grief Programs

"Passages" Through Loss and Grief:  Grief Support Group
"Passages" meets the first and third Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at The Hospice Residence, located at 3411 Stoneleigh in South Lansing.  This is an open group for those who have experienced a loss through death.

Adult Orphan Luncheon
Join others for a luncheon on grieving parental loss or significant caregiver loss on the second Wednesday of the month from 12:15 to 1:15 at The Hospice of Lansing office located at 6035 Executive Drive, #103 in south Lansing.

Community Grief Support Group

The Hospice Residence

Should there come a time in one's final journey when remaining at home is no longer possible, the Hospice Residence is a comfortable, homelike, peaceful alternative.

Completed in March 2001, the Hospice Residence is beautifully designed to accentuate the natural beauty surrounding this free-standing, end-of-life facility. The eight-bedroom home on 20 acres of natural beauty is in the City of Lansing and welcoming to families and loved ones.
