What Is CAASAC?
The Community Action Against Substance Abuse Coalition (CAASAC) was established in 1994 with the goal of preventing substance abuse in our communities.
Since its inception, the Coalition has developed and implemented many successful collaborative efforts focused on improving the substance abuse treatment system.
Additional work has focused on developing effective prevention strategies and increasing community awareness surrounding substance abuse issues.
The Coalition strives to meet the needs of service providers and community members in their efforts to improve the health of our tri-county citizens.
Past initiatives have included:
- Club Drug Symposium
- Substance Abuse Conference
- Symposium focusing on collaborative efforts between substance abuse providers and the criminal justice system
Who Is CAASAC?
Coalition membership consists of a diverse group of professionals from prevention, treatment, and law enforcement agencies.

How Can I Join CAASAC?
Monthly meetings are normally held the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30 am at the Ingham County Health Department which is located at 5303 S. Cedar St. in Lansing, MI.
